Es Grau
The large Es Grau beach (590 metres long and 35 metres wide) is shaped as a shell and lined by a string of dunes. It belongs to the Natural Park of S’Albufera de Es Grau. The bay is practically closed to the sea and protected by the d’en Colom island. Its dune system is very well preserved and a stroll along it will take us to solitary and hidden coves.
The tiny fishermen’s village called Es Grau, has some nice cafes and restaurants due to its proximity to the sea. We can also recommend some sailing excursions which depart from Es Grau to the d’en Colom island.
This idyllic site is reached, from Maó, by taking the Fornells road (Me-7) and driving for about 10 kilometres.
