Cave and Gorge Excursions

This priviledged natural surrounding owned by the island turns into an authentic paradise for those who love speleology, thanks to its more than ten underwater caves and the approximately fifty caves found around the cliffs and gorges.

The sizes of some of these caves turn the exploring into an impressive experience, such as the one to be witnessed at the D’es Coloms Cave (called “the Cathedral” due to its dimensions).

As well as discovering the island’s different cave routes, we can choose to follow the sharp routes of the gorges. While walking through these geological formations we will have the chance of discovering spectacular landscapes. Of all the nearly forty gorges to be found around the island, we must mention the Barranco d’Algendar as the most beautiful.
